Day’s Distance is a rock band from Florence, Alabama, that was formed in April of 2009. After months of playing shows and writing, Day’s Distance had the opportunity to head in to the studio and record their full length debut album “Day’s Distance”, which after a year in the making was finally released April 24, 2010 and received a review from grammy winning songwriter and producer, Gary Baker (I Swear, I'm Already There).
"After listening to Day's Distance debut CD twice, I have come to the conclusion that these guys know what they are doing. It's obvious they had a direction going in, both with the material and production. It's recorded very well and the musicianship is amazing. The vocals are outstanding. I find it hard to believe that they have done this on there own with no seasoned professionals involved. My favorite track is 5, "The Truth". Give these guys a listen. You'll be glad you did."

Since then Day’s Distance has impressed crowds across the region and started receiving immediate air play on radio stations from Alabama to Louisiana. In March of 2010 after reaching the #4 spot in the Hard Rock Channel on MTV's Ourstage.com, Day’s Distance also was garnished with the honors of being selected for the April edition of Mike Cameo’s Indie’s Top 10, which scours the independent charts from all across the world. Only to again 2 months later in May stake their claim on the charts at Ourstage.com at #1 out of over 1,100 other artists in the Rock Channel.
“Fledging 5-piece out of Florence, Alabama, DAY'S DISTANCE will bang your head with hard-driving riff Rock, or hold you in sway with a smooth and solid Rock ballad. There's lots of memorable melody and mainstream sensibility here for a band that seems only to have just begun. We welcome them, and they welcome you with, 'Can't Kill Me' at OurStage.com” - Mike Cameo’s Indie’s Top 10
