On January 19th Tired Wings played what could possibly be one of their final shows due to some personal problems within the ranks. Since 2009 the band has been doing the rounds of NYC, NJ, and Connecticut.  They've put out 3 albums and have played shows along with Joe Lynn Turner and Faster Pussycat. Heading into the Winter, Tired Wings was even set to embark on shows outside of NYC and to start pre-production on a new album.  Now, they find themselves heading into a realm of uncertainty.

De facto leader Rev. Mongoose has been vocal about all this on his blog and the bands Facebook page.  When asked about the current state of Tired Wings, and the possibility that this might be their final show.   Rev. Mongoose had this to say:

"Music is my passion and that is what drives me to do what I do.  I expect the people I work with to have the same drive. I don't play music to get free drinks at a bar or get hugs from everyone. I don't mind that but I don't get blinded by the sudden friends that pop up out of nowhere.  As a matter of fact I become more of a recluse when new people appear on my radar. I can't speak for my band members but I learned a long time ago more people equate to more problems. I keep things liquid, like whiskey on ice.... But at the same time I always show some courtesy because we are all from the same vine we call humanity.  NO the band is not breaking up any time soon , however we have been in each others faces since December 2008. That’s 4 years being an active band. I was hoping to do more shows this year and work on this next record. I have been writing nonstop and would love to implement our bass player into the recordings. Since this is a song driven band I can see the record done with or without the current line up. Would I want this line up to do a record with me? Absolutely, I dont want to stop...... But out of respect if a member wants to take a break I'll wait along with them because we are also brothers. I am already working on new material that is not on this record and it is exciting.  But at the same time painful because I don't know if it will be Tired Wings material or an attempt of doing a hard rock solo record. In the meantime I have a side synth pop / goth project and I have 2 records under the belt and am finalizing the 3rd as we speak."

Time will tell what is next for Tired Wings, but one way or another the show will go on.  For now, enjoy some photos from guest photographer Anya
