BAND BIO
Inspired by the driving riffs of Sevendust and Disturbed, the rhythm the likes of Incubus and Rush, and the melodic vocals of Breaking Benjamin and Fuel, the Quad City-based hard rock quintet Three Years Hollow formed to create an aggressive and heavy, yet mainstream sound.
Comprising of Jose (vocals), Tony (guitar), Luke (guitar, vocals), Dex (bass) and Chris (drums), the band self recorded, produced and promoted their debut release “Ascension” in 2009. Due to “Ascension”, Three Years Hollow quickly received national attention as emerging artists at radio stations from the East to the West coasts. The album gained considerable momentum on the web after breaking the top 10 in the hard rock genres on Ourstage.com and Garageband.com and piled up digital sales nationwide, all while the band was still working stages mostly in the Midwest.
Although Ascension continues to pile up sales and be successful, Three Years Hollow is not about to rest on that breakthrough success.
2011 has seen Neil replace Luke on Guitar/Vocals and the year is shaping up to be an extremely busy, yet fulfilling one for 3YH. The band is showing a driving commitment to continue playing shows, all while continuing to write, self-produce and record the follow-up to "Ascension". The recording process for the new tracks is well under way and many of them are included in their current set list. Thus far the live response to the new material has been overwhelming. This eagerly anticipated follow-up album is expected to hit the jewel case in late summer 2011.
3YH has had the incredibly fortunate opportunity to share the stage with such great national acts as: Chevelle, Buckcherry, Puddle of Mudd, Pop Evil, Taproot, Black Stone Cherry, Soil, Evans Blue, Tesla, The Veer Union, Janus, The Used, Candlebox, Destrophy, Anew Revolution, Caroline's Spine, Marrc Rizzo (Soulfly), Ben Kenney & DJ Kilmore (Incubus), Psychostick, Straight Line Stitch, Texas Hippie Coalition, Kyng, 40 Below Summer and The Burden Brothers among others...
