The Rock N' Roll you deserve! To PISTOL SHOT GYPSY, their music, fans, and live performances are all that matters. PISTOL SHOT GYPSY brings back the old school rock n roll of the 70's, the party of the 80's, the emotion of the 90's, and then they sharpen the blade just a little bit more with an illusion of metal. PISTOL SHOT GYPSY delivers the energy and excitement that the music scene has been missing and that you've been craving!
Available now, PISTOL SHOT GYPSY's self-titled album has only begun to be recognized as being worthy of your ears. "Trainwreck" asks, "Who's crazy enough to survive the hard life of playing in a band?" and answers with "It's just too much fun to leave". "Baby Come Back", as lead singer Ron Travis says, "It's a touching little ditty ‘bout a boy, a girl, and in between”. With thoroughbred beats that would give any Triple Crown champ a run for their money, "Slave Yourself" destroys everything it touches. This Album is just a taste of what's to come from PISTOL SHOT GYPSY.
The Band has won The Providence Phoenix "Best Loud Act" for two consecutive years in a row along w/ Travis picking up "The Best Male Vocalist" accolade as well on the bands second run. East Coast commercial radio stations are beginning to spin PSG, in large part due to the constant touring up and down this side of the Mississippi. Doors have also been opening for PISTOL SHOT GYPSY in the multimedia department as well. Shortly after releasing their debut album, the bands management was contacted by a prominent game developer and negotiations are under way. All in all PISTOL SHOT GYPSY consistently shows that they refuse to be pigeonholed not only on the stage but off the stage as well.
PISTOL SHOT GYPSY's members history is a varied mix and goes to show how small a world this really is. 4 of the 5 members have been childhood friends w/ each other. All honing their skills together at one point or another and then breaking off to find themselves musically and eventually out of touch from one another. Over the years they have all found their own styles and life has brought this motley crew full circle. PISTOL SHOT GYPSY can be down and dirty bluesy hard rock at times, have a harder edge at other moments, or tone it down altogether acoustically. However one thing has become evident. Ron Travis has a writing style all his own and showcases it night after night w/ his raw talent behind the mic. "His vocals have a way of just getting stuck in your head." explains Ian. "Truly another instrument of the band and I'm proud to say that he's all ours!"
