The Championship

BAND PROFILE
Since the release of their 2005 debut "Dance Cassador!" the Championship have been one of Milwaukee's premiere bands. Singer Joe Crockett's hard luck struggles against small town inertia found rich, powerful amplification on 2008's "Midnight Golden," the best country rock record Bruce Springsteen never made. June's "Moving at the Speed of Darkness" EP gathered ominous storm clouds ahead of the band's highly anticipated third album, suggesting that the Championship have their eyes beyond the town borders -- and not just musically.
