BAND BIO
Deriving the name from the effortless flow of heartfelt lyrics created by founder, Frank Scalise, Bleeding Ink is quickly emerging as one of the most sought after sounds in the Midwest. Old friends and former band mates, Scalise, Kevin Davis and James Pinkerton flirted with the idea of collaborating their talents to form a group since the late 90’s. After playing separately in casual gigs and noticing individual strengths, Scalise and drummer Davis joined forces to create the beginnings of Bleeding Ink. Davis’s poetic rapture on drums and Scalise’s expressive songwriting and vocals created the solid foundation and framework for the band. Pinkerton shortly added his aptness for songwriting and dynamistic personality into the fold. The final piece of the Bleeding Ink ensemble was founded in bass player, Eric Aleshire, whose eagerness and technique quickly earned him a spot in the tight knit group of passionate, eclectic musicians.
Bleeding Ink’s multifaceted and universal sound reaches their audience by provoking emotion and bringing to the surface life’s tragedies and triumphs through song. This mixture of hard rock and pure heart makes Bleeding Ink one of the most captivating and infatuating bands to ever hit the stage.
In 2011, Bleeding Ink will be playing across the Midwest to promote their self-titled EP in hopes of touching every possible rock fan on their quest to find the reasons for life, love, and rebirth through tragedy…one song at a time.
