If there's any event in the music world that deserves a proper celebration and party, it's the release of an album. Countless hours of writing, fine tuning, recording, (and of course more fine tuning) all culminate when the tunes finally hit the street. Chicago’s Workhorse Kings know exactly how to celebrate just such an occasion, they do it by playing a three hour marathon set.
As they set out to welcome the new tracks off their sophomore effort "Triple Crown" to the world, they decided there was no better introduction than to play it cover to cover in its entirety. With a reloaded sound from the record and a packed house, the Workhorse Kings played to a rousing crowd of their dedicated fans. After an hour and a half of Workhouse Kings’ originals, the guys took off the formal wear and cut loose on a hot Chicago Saturday night to play some crowd pleasing covers ranging from Tenacious D to Zeppelin. A fun and fitting finish to a great celebration.
Whether you were there through the last song or had other places to rock out, we were on hand to capture it for you. Check out our full photo review below!!
